Kids and Family

Orange is a partnership between the church and parents.  It is our goal to Incite Wonder, Provoke Discovery  and Fuel Passion, so that kids will want to imitate the character of their Creator.

Our efforts are based on a concept we call “ORANGE.” Our goal is to create a partnership between the church and the family by combining yellow (the light of God’s Word) and red (the love of the family).  We want to provide an environment where the church talks with parents, instead of just talking to them, so that you are equipped to be the role model your kids will need as they find their place in God’s Big Story.

Every Sunday morning from 9:00 - 10:15 AM we have specific programs designed for kids: First Look for Preschoolers, and 252 Basics for Grade-Schoolers.

First Look:

This is what we call our preschool program.  We use music, stories and skits to make sure every child knows that God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

252 Basics:

Our program for the elementary school age group.  Each month we look at a different virtue (a part of God’s character, that should become a part of our character).  Every Bible lesson, skit and song will focus on that virtue all month long.  We hope that each child will learn that they can trust God no matter what, that they should treat others the way they want to be treated, and that they need to make the wise choice in every situation.

Small Groups:

Each child in 252 Basics, and First Look also has a small group leader.  A person who is committed to partnering with you, and being another voice sharing the same truths you are trying to teach your child.  Our Small Group Leaders want to be more than a friendly face on Sunday, they want to be a part of your family.

Don’t feel left out, we have a small group for parents every Sunday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 AM called Think Orange, where you can learn on an adult level the same virtues your kids are learning.  This group is also a great place to chat with other parents, get ideas, give ideas, and find encouragement.

Wednesday Night Family Experience:

Join us one Wednesday evening a month as we share food, fun and fellowship. See a skit that introduces our monthly themes, then stick around for a craft and games.

Vacation Bible School:

You'll want to join us for VBS. next summer! It  will  include a little bit of everything listed above, all wrapped up into five evenings of fun and learning for kids who have completed grades K-5.  If your kids have joined us in the past, they'll know how much fun can be packed into one week!
