Our pastor, Dan Russell, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family. There is no way to avoid the sorrow of this parting. With Christ, we can acknowledge death as a great enemy, a result of the curse of sin, and also believe with full assurance that what is sown as perishable will be raised as imperishable and mortality will be swallowed up by immortality.

A Celebration of Life for Pastor Dan will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11 AM with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
